The Space Data section provides access to UIC’s official space reporting tools, offering both live and historical data used for planning, compliance, and federal reporting. Most reports require login and allow filtering by building, department, college, or Banner-level hierarchy.

Live reports include detailed views of building-level data (such as square footage, building category, date built, construction type, and occupancy classification), as well as room-level data searchable by space use, assignment, and organizational unit. Specialized reports allow users to analyze space by room use codes, assignment levels, and Banner hierarchy, or explore room-by-room details within specific buildings.

Historical reports include space utilization summaries and Space Survey data by year, which provide valuable insight into how space has been allocated and used over time. These tools support a wide range of institutional needs, from strategic planning to research infrastructure reporting.
